GHOST STORIES & PARANORMAL CAPTURES
Visitors to Rowtons’ Museum frequently report paranormal experiences, whether that be during a day visit or on one of the museum’s paranormal investigations. Below are a small selection of some of the best captures and stories from the museum.

PHOTOGRAPH OF A SPECTRAL MANIFESTATION OVER THE ARCHANGEL MICHAEL MANNEQUIN
This photograph was taken by a guest during an evening investigation of the museum. It is a close up from a wider image of the chapel (below). In it, one can see the museum’s mannequin of the Archangel Michael and what appears to be a strange, blue-tinged mass. The anomalous manifestation seems to sit over the mannequin’s face and down onto clothes as a single mass, rather than showing the definition of the different textures. At the time, the mannequin was wearing a Santa hat and beard. When you look closely, you can see the edge of the beard either side of the blob… as if the anomaly is over the top of the mannequin and not a part of it. Of further interest is the colour of the mass, with the Archangel Michael often associated with the colour blue and — of course — peacock feathers.
A COLOURED ORB OF LIGHT IS REPEATEDLY PHOTOGRAPHED IN THE SÉANCE PARLOUR
Strangely, several visitors to the museum have shared with us coloured orbs of light (either green or yellow) in the séance parlour, specifically around the museum’s 1890s’ mourning gown and 1870s’ summer mourning bonnet. Below are several of these odd photographs. Look closely, and you will be able to spot the strange light anomalies.
