ERIK ROWTON IS TOLD NOT TO TOUCH THE DYBBUK BOX
On 21st November 2025, the Rowtons hosted their first Haunted Object Workshop, which saw investigative attention brought to one of the museum’s active artefacts, the Dybbuk Box. The footage below was filmed by museum members, Jo and Stuart of Forbidden Knowledge Paranormal. It shows Erik touching the box. As he does, a response is heard coming through the Necrophonic spirit box mobile appl. It says ‘don’t’. In the second portion of the video, Erik reveals why he quickly removed his hand from the box. He got an electric shock, and heard a voice tell him ‘don’t’. (Note: the first half of the video has been slowed down for ease of hearing.)
SPIRIT ARTIST STEPHEN COX DOWSES IN THE HAUNTED OBJECTS’ SCHOOLROOM… AND HEARS LOUD BANGS
Spirit artist Stephen Cox paid a visit on Rowtons’ Museum’s grand opening day, 22nd February 2025. Extremely loud bangs were heard during a dowsing rod session in the Haunted Objects’ Schoolroom. They seemed to respond to Stephen’s questions, and were coming from the cavity space between the schoolroom and the séance parlour. The video below captures the final part of the interaction, with Stephen and his wife, Gwyn, deciding to film the strange activity.
EERIE FACE DEVELOPS IN MIRROR SCRYING REFLECTION
The bizarre image below was photographed by a guest on 9th August 2025 during mirror scrying at the museum. Stuart was gazing into a mirror located on one of the two front staircases up to Penuel Chapel’s gallery. He captured this photograph of his reflection during a paranormal investigation hosted at the museum. As he gazed into the dark mirror, other guests were participating in an Estes Method Session, with responses getting stranger and darker… The face that appears on Stuart’s cheek looks to be that of a goblin. After studying the image, the Rowtons and Stuart could not explain it. This is one of a series of images, with Stuart photographing his face’s reflection from different angles in an attempt to see if the goblin face distorted or disappeared. It did not. The eerie image remained visible from all angles.
