MUSEUM OF THE PARANORMAL AND SPIRITUALITY
Located in the oldest town in Wales, Rowtons’ Museum is home to hundreds of strange, spooky, and sacred artefacts carefully curated across 4,000 sq/ft… from historic Ouija boards and haunted dolls, to saints’ relics and exorcism scrolls, to witchcraft bottles and secret society regalia, to Victorian mourning jewellery and ancient magic charms.
The museum also cares for many one-of-a-kind objects associated with extreme paranormal activity, including those which are claimed to be haunted, cursed, or vessels for non-human entities…
As a living museum, we also encourage spiritual contemplation and personal development, both through material encounter with our objects and sacred space during the day, and through experiential exploration during our evening and special events.
Without spoiling anyone’s visit, Rowtons’ Museum really is the finest paranormal/spiritual museum in the UK, curated with care, sensitivity and a solid appreciation of belief systems past and present, and those who purveyed and popularised such traditions and rituals.
Dr. Kate Cherrell, writer & paranormal historian
Rowtons’ Museum is one of the best museums in Wales or indeed the UK. Its collection of occult objects contains many ‘one of a kind’ items you will never see elsewhere.
Richard Freeman, author & cryptozoologist
What I loved most was how the spiritual and paranormal aspects are woven together within the building — something I’ve always believed in, but which is often seen as separate.

paranormal investigations
Join museum owners Laura and Erik Rowton for an immersive evening of paranormal investigation. Experience the entire museum after dark, investigate haunted objects, and become a ghost hunter!
Absolutely amazing evening at Rowtons’ Museum. Both Erik and Laura were the perfect owners, giving speeches about the items and the chapel itself, encouraging spirits to come forward, but also allowing us as guests to roam freely and interact.

GUIDED TOURS & SPECIAL EVENTS
Delve deeper into our spooky stories on a guided tour with one of the musuem’s owners. From times of faith and wonder, to those of existential stress and fear, to a new search for meaning in the modern age, experience the story of spirituality through the museum’s artefacts and dedicated spaces.
The museum also hosts events with special guests, including clairvoyance evenings, one-on-one readings with psychic mediums, and expert-led talks.
I definitely recommend taking a tour, as Laura added so much detail to the many areas of exhibits. I will be visiting again, as there is so much to look at. The chapel is an incredible building – I am sure that it is enjoying having a purpose again.

It’s clear that the owners really know their stuff and genuinely care about the history and energy behind each piece. There’s a real personal touch to everything here, it doesn’t feel like a commercial “attraction,” more like being invited into someone’s personal collection of deeply weird and wonderful things.

The museum is set in a beautiful old church with quite a history itself! We were taken on a tour with a lovely lady who was full of stories and brilliantly knowledgeable. It was full of spooky items, all with really interesting back stories. Definitely worth a visit!

ENCOUNTER THE SPIRITUAL: WORSHIP, MEDITATION, & PSYCHIC DEVELOPMENT at rowtons’
More than just a museum, Rowtons’ is a living, sacred space based inside a historic chapel associated with angelic healing miracles. We host weekly guided meditation and spiritual contemplation gatherings, and encourage our guests to interact with our Shrine of the All situated at Penuel’s altar.
Every Thursday & Friday at 10am, we offer quiet hours in the chapel, for individual prayer, contemplation, meditation, worship, or rest. All are welcome.
No matter what your views may be about the paranormal and spiritually, this place will help you to discover new things and ask those questions you have never had a real chance to ask before. Laura and Erik are extremely knowledgeable in so many aspects and are always happy to explain and share this knowledge. I love that they now have a regular meditation that takes place each Saturday and I am also part of the Rose Circle where you can learn and study new things within a very friendly group of others. There is a real sense of community that is being made here, and for that I am very grateful.
